    Strahan Village accommodation is the booking service for most of the accommodation in the town. There are a range of room types and prices around the $240 per night mark (as of March 08). All rooms serviced by a central friendly reception. Book well in advance during peak season – Dec to Mar.

    Given that this place is in a fishing port, you think that it would be fairly safe to order fish and chips. Wrong. Fish fried to within an inch of charcoal seems to be the specialty. On the plus side, the chips were crispy.
