CLIFTON HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL FAIR
Saturdday 28th November 2009
185 Gold Street, Clifton Hill.
The Clifton Hill Primary School fair is an inner city institution. Rides, reptiles, stalls-a-plenty – if you can’t have an inexpensive day of fun here then you’re just not trying.
And the food!?! There’s so many different cuisines it’s like lunchtime at the United Nations, most of them run by professional chefs who happen to be parents at the school.
That’s just how it is – good fun, good food, good friends, good community.
Come on down.

Nothing better than just sneaking out to the backroom and enjoying a great coffee and a bit of time to re group the marbles. I have had the Salmon salad on more than one occasion and it is magnificent. The staff are great, they are always smiling, nothing is to much trouble, they obviously enjoy working there, and they create such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Keep it up guys, it is encouraging to still be able to get a great coffee and not have your name announced across a crowded room.

Tried the Eggs Forestiere – poached eggs, bacon, mushrooms, basil & hollandaise as well as the hotcakes with marscapone & berries. Seriously yum! Relaxed vibe & friendly staff too.

CLIFTON HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL FAIR
Saturday 29th November, 2008.
185 Gold Street, CLIFTON HILL
The Clifton Hill Primary School Fair is fast becoming one of the inner-east’s “must do” days.
All the usual school fete stalls are there – toys, clothes, plants, books, etc, plus a great array of rides and games for the kids. A Wii Challenge will give your children the chance to pit their hard learned computer game skills to the test.
This year there is also a day long visit by the Wild Action Zoo, with hands-on sessions for the kids to touch and learn about snakes, lizards and crocodiles.
The main stage has entertainment ranging from Vika Bull and the Reverend Funk Band, through to student talent quests.
But the biggest attraction at the Gold Street Fair is always the food. Asian, vegetarian, curries, gelati, poffertjes, snowcones and good old sausages in bread (but only the finest snags, from Jonathan’s, no less) – your tastebuds can travel the world without leaving the inner-city. And you can wash down these delights with your choice of wines, beers, soft drinks and fine coffee.

These guys are good if you need to match an era – decent range of period and heritage lighting.
