I’ve found myself here a bit recently and generally find the service fair – on the whole with a smile. Good for pram wielding parents.

No-one here is friendly and a service ethic is clearly not encouraged by management, who are probably the worst offenders. The staff don’t acknowledge you, they gossip amongst themselves and with visiting friends, and don’t make eye contact when they eventually have to deal with you. Table service is practically non-existent. I had to clear my own table last time i went. I also had to get up to order an extra coffee cos no-one came near us after the initial order. The only reason I go here is because it is open earlier than anything else in Westgarth and has plenty of space to cater for friends with babies/prams.

The food here is really average. I don’t want to look at my plate and think.. i could do better than this at home. Sliced white supermarket bread, plain old poached eggs, bit of bacon plonked on the side. Not saying it tasted horrible or anything, but with the standard of competition in Melbourne, you’ve gotta do better than this to get my vote.

sometimes you can overlook the arrogance of the staff where the food is great, but traffic just doesn’t cut it for me. food is average, and the service (especially by the manager/s owners – sorry not sure) is shocking.

Consistency: good. Chocolate: high quality. Milk to choc proportion: perfect.
