A fancy-pants sausage-in-bread cooked on the barbie while you wait. I had the lamb and coriander snag with onion and sauerkraut with lashings of tomato sauce and mustard. The perfect pit-stop between drinks.

Food is a lot better than I expected. Great staff and they have done a great job with outdoor heaters and umbrellas. Riverland is perfect in summer – just get there early to avoid the queue.

This place is mostly beer garden – great view over the Yarra with plenty of high powered gas heaters to keep you toasty.
