Tom Howard says Flavours of Lakhoum is awful for breakfast, since it changed hands. (About 1 year ago)
Tried it yesterday for the first time since the new owners took over about a month or so ago.
Being realistic enough to expect it not to be quite up to its former standard, I was rather breath-taken on being served eggs that had been prepared in an egg-poacher and ended up more like rubber hockey pucks than the creamy albumen delights one is accustomed to.
Their famous haloumi cheese was similarly disappointing, blackened on one side but otherwise unaltered by heat.
To their credit, the turkish sausage was sizzled with relative competence, and the avocado sliced to my satisfaction, so I didn’t go completely hungry.

Not the usual hot choc here – they use a dark rich bitter cocoa. Very good.

Delicious moroccan rice balls and and kofta wraps. All food is well priced.
