Emily Freeman says The Book Grocer is good for books and coffee. (9 months ago)

These guys do OK coffee and their book selection is really nice. Staff are friendly and there is a little table outside for coffee in the sun.

They are set up for mums (and dads!) with bubs, as they have a change room out back, and a box of toys for the kids to play with. There is also a sign saying they encourage mothers groups.

Unfortunately the kids bookshelf has lots of ‘nice’ books down low where they can be grabbed & pulled out, which of course means you’re constantly worried they’re going to break something! If they re-arranged the kids area with ‘readable’ old books down low it would be perfect.

Chris Mander says The Book Grocer is fair for books and coffee. (9 months ago)

Just opened! A wee little bookshop in Northcote with a fair range – a good shop to stop with the pram for a browse and hot choc.
